If you've received an email or a chat/instant message that tells you that you've won the lottery, don't believe it! It's a scam!
The only way to win the lottery is to buy a ticket. No one is going to give away money for nothing. Does it make any sense for people to give you free money? NO!
If you'd won the lottery for real, they wouldn't notify you! It's up to you to check your ticket with the winning numbers and then file the claim. If you don't claim it within a specified time frame, then the lottery gets to keep the money! Why would they tell you to claim it when they might get to keep it for themselves?
